LIV Golf got off to a flying start in 2022. With events all around the world including Boston, Chicago, Bangkok, Jeddah, and London it has been a roaring success! Dustin Johnson was one of the names everyone had circled when talking about who would win the Individual Title for Live Golf’s inaugural season. The competition wouldn’t be easy as he would have to go up against the likes of Major Champions Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia, Cam Smith, and more.
The LIV Golf season began in London. Dustin and the 4 Aces GC got off to a decent start, but didn’t finish the way the captain would have liked. Portland went better for DJ as rounds of 68-68-71 carried him to a solo 4th finish and the 4 Aces GC first win. This would be the first of four wins in a row for the team. After a 3rd place finish in Bedminster, Dustin headed to Boston. Rounds of 67-63-65 were good enough for a playoff against LIV Golf newcomer, Joaquin Niemann. With a lengthy eagle putt, DJ took his first win on LIV Golf!
“I wanted to finally get my first victory out here, especially I feel like I’ve had a really good chance to win every single week, just haven’t played as well on Sunday as I’d like to.” Dustin said after the round. He followed up the win with a solo 3rd place at Chicago and a 16th place in Bangkok. Those two finishes were enough to win him the Individual Championship for the first ever year of LIV Golf! Dustin and the 4 Aces will try and continue their success in Jeddah and the Championship in Miami.
