As Dustin Johnson has risen to the top of the professional golf ranks as a player, Golf Digest has now affirmed that he can count his instructional facility among the game’s best as well.
In recently publishing its 2019 Editors’ Choice list of “Best Golf Schools & Academies,” golf’s renowned publication has named the Dustin Johnson Golf School among 26 elite institutions of higher golf learning nationwide – alongside such prestigious teaching peers as the Mike Bender Golf Academy and Leadbetter Golf Academy at Championsgate in Florida, Butch Harmon School of Golf in Nevada and Jim McLean Golf Center in Texas.
Golf Digest even went so far as to single out Dustin’s facility in its introduction:
“Places like the Dustin Johnson Golf School can’t promise you 350-yard tee shots like their namesake, but their advanced-player schools are on the cutting edge for aspiring scholarship winners and professionals. They teach how to play, not just how to swing.”
The Dustin Johnson Golf School is one of only three such instructional facilities in the Southeast region singled out for the Golf Digest honor, joining the Tommy Cuthbert Golf Learning Center at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Charleston, South Carolina and Sea Island Golf Performance Center in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
“We’re extremely proud to have achieved this recognition from Golf Digest. To be honored alongside such golf instruction facilities is truly humbling, and inspires us to continue our efforts to reach new heights of excellence,” said Allen Terrell, director of coaching at the Dustin Johnson Golf School. “We remain as committed as ever to providing exceptional, world-class instruction that will keep us in the forefront of America’s leading golf schools for years to come.”
